The Foundation on Financial Journalism is sincerely grateful to its supporters and acknowledges that this work would not be possible without them.
To protect donor reputations and the integrity of our reporting, we have developed a series of common-sense guidelines.
- Apart from the tax-exemption benefit available under Internal Revenue Service rule 501(c)(3), our donors receive no material consideration from their gifts.
- Donors will have no insight into, nor influence upon, FFJ editorial decisions. This includes the selection of investigative subjects, the nature of any reporting and editing decisions made, and the release date of an investigation.
- FFJ uses investigative reporting for transparency and accountability’s sake. Accordingly, neither its employees nor contractors will profit from the security price movements of a subject.
- To preserve FFJ’s independence, FFJ has always fought third-party litigants’ attempts, whether they were civil or enforcement/regulatory efforts, to subpoena editorial work product.
